Trying to cram 2 weeks of work

into a couple of days up on the hill so I
can enjoy the Holly Jolly days of Christmas.
Not an impossible feat by no means, but
definitely exhausting! If I can just make it
to Friday - the reward will be so worth it.

Thank you Mother Nature for cutting us a
break last night, we needed it!

Haven't had much time to look at the calendar
going forward with Crop dates but will do that
as soon as I break up here. Hope to have some
dates posted by the end of the month.

Is anyone going to SBV's New Year's Day
crop. I'm seriously thinking about it. Can't
think of a better way to spend the first day
of 2011!

Time sure does fly......

I remember when I put the Christmas Countdown Clock
up on the blog we were 50+ days away....now it's down to
just 25.......

Looking forward to the scrappin weekend and I can't forget
the DVD release of Ecilpse this week!!! WooHoo!!!

A few pics from

the Smokey Mountains. With the exception
of the warm temperatures for the end of
October and a rare Tornado watch - the
trip was great! At times I was mesmerized
by the beautiful scenery. I've been to this
area a couple of times - but this trip reached
deep into my soul as I enjoyed the awesome
mountain beauty and explored Cades Cove.

I promise I haven't abandoned you....just took/taking
a little break. It would appear the daily challenges

so nice to see you again!!

Thanks Deb H., for the info on Michael's coming
to town. A call to corporate by Bill's cousin to pin
down an opening date was unsuccessful. However,
they did say they would be opening sometime next
year and a possible location is in the old Zappos
building on Scottsville Road next to PierI........

Hope it's the early part of next year!!!

I've posted a couple

of new croppin dates on the sidebar. Please note
I was not able to reserve Sat., October 9, it was
already taken. It looks like October is not going to
be a very good month for me for Scrapbooking
weekends - too many other things going on. Sorry.

scrappin weekend, filled with fantastic food and desserts!!!
While I didn't get alot accomplished, it is always great to see
everyone and catch up.

On a sad note, I was sorry to hear of the passing of
beloved Bart.....Sending hugs to Deb H., and her family
during this time.

Looking forward to a bit of a cool down on the thermometer
this week.

Tristan is off to Kindergarten and Zoe

is off to My School Daycare - they were both
excited to begin their new journeys......

time! Just a few more hours to go. I've had
these tickets in a safe place since May 14! It's
almost time to set them free!

Well. It's almost that time of year

again..... We're just 26 weeks and approx. 3 days away
from Christmas 2010. And in case your needing to start
your yuletide projects and crafts - our local Hobby Lobby
can definitely fulfill your supply list.

Hope everyone had a great father's day..... I know several
of us are quite a distance away from our fathers, but they
know we love them!

I'm only about a month behind getting these
pics on the blog - but it sure does seem longer
than that since we celebrated NSD weekend!

I.cannot.believe.the.

destruction and loss of life as a result of
this past weekend's rain deluge. It is so hard
to comprehend the level of devastation.

My heart goes out to family and friend's who
have suffered any loss of life, property, etc.

While I know our area had our share of the
epic rain, our neighbors south of us took a
huge brunt of Mother Nature. So many people
have lost their life, homes, businesses, jobs, etc.

I applaud Gaylord Opryland Hotel for keeping their
employees on payroll while this major icon is shut
down indefinitely. The recent videos of the hotel
under 10-15 feet of water are jaw dropping.......
It remains to be seen whether CKC in August
will be at this venue.

In spite of the inclement weather over the weekend,
and the scarey driving situations, for several of you -
I did enjoy our scrappin time and know these times are
precious and few indeed.

I want to say a special thank you to Brande and Richard
for coming out and taking our group photo as well as
capturing some awesome flood pics!

weekend! The Cancer Crop was great and I
actually almost completed an 8x8 album!

I am going to drop the Feb. 19 and 20th weekend
and keep the weekend of Feb 26 & 27. I had
intended to keep both weekends, but unfortunately even
though I 'm an obsessed scrapper, 3 weekends
in a row is a little much.

WoW - a month ago today

was the last time I blogged...... I've been a slacker blogger
lately. Not to much to write about - I really need to get
some dates posted - so we can all put them down on our
calendars. Hopefully, I'll get them posted tomorrow or
early part of next week for sure.

After checking out some challenges over on the 2peas board-
I decided to commit myself to create a Card a Day in 2010.
Now, what to do with 365 cards has not yet entered into my train
of thought - but I'm sure I'll come up with something. I'm
proud to say that I'm staying up on the challenge (I'm only
off by 2) having completed 5 cards to date. I hope to post
a few as I go along - this will help keep me on track.

So what resolutions or challenges have you entered into for
the new year?
